Title: CNC Machinist Quala is seeking a CNC machinist to join our team that is supporting the prototyping of next generation consumer electronic devices. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art prototyping lab that is based in Redmond, WA. As a member of our CNC team, you will be working side by side with a multidisciplinary team of engineers who specialize in the iterative prototyping of hardware for consumer electronics.
Principal Responsibilities: Material preparation Machine set up and tear down Run Programs at CNC machines Manual machining as needed Support raw material inventory and organization Operate and help maintain sawing equipment Support all model makers and fabricators as needed Qualifications: 1-2 years of professional or academic experience setting up and operating CNC machines. Works well in a team environment. High attention to detail Basic machine shop experience Experience operating basic shop tools and equipment (saws, manual mills, measuring tools etc.) Ability to learn newer technology such as waterjet Academic or professional experience with CAM software Knowledge / Experience working with Siemens NX (preferred) Model Maker/Prototyping experience a plus
