The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for equipment and systems maintenance at our facility. Safety is our top priority at Haydon Corporation. All associates are required to follow and comply with all safety rules and guidelines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems. • Communicate daily with your direct supervisor and maintenance leadership regarding your assignments and the current statuses of machines. • Provide regular and consistent updates on machine conditions, maintenance progress, and any issues that may impact production. • Inspect A/C motors, gearboxes, presses, resistance welders, and other roll forming equipment. • Support changeover process for welders, mills, secondary punch machines, and specifically to California rooftop press. • Perform preventive maintenance on machines. • Suggest improvements and enhancements to the preventive maintenance schedule for machines. • Provide timely updates on scheduled preventive maintenance activities to avoid major downtime. • Replace worn parts and fluids as needed. • Test and adjust components to ensure proper operation. • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance. • Identify critical spares and consumable parts that need to be purchased. • Conduct regular inspections of machines, following standard operating procedures (SOP), and instructions. • Consult manuals and seek clarification when necessary to ensure proper operation and maintenance of machines. • Continuously monitor production line efficiency. Promptly engage with the operations and production teams to address and resolve issues that require attention. • Respond promptly to requests and inquiries from your maintenance leadership regarding production lines and any issues on the line. • Ensure timely communication is provided to prevent misunderstandings and minimize any machine downtime. • Prepare and provide reports and updates as required by your leader and management. Share insights and information relevant to machine performance and maintenance activities. • Collaborate with your leadership to understand and execute assignments that align with your skillset and expertise. Report on the progress of assigned tasks and responsibilities. • Proficiency in using hand and power tools. • Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned. • Have basic understanding of Human Machine Interface (HMI) to assist and help with troubleshooting.

Professional Qualifications • Commitment to safety and to adhere to all safety rules. • Knowledge of environmental regulations, adherence to applicable safety protocols. • 6+ years of repairing/maintaining manufacturing equipment. • Experience specifically with presses and mills. • Experience with welding and making minor repairs and/or adjustments. • Comprehension of single and 3 phase power requirements. • Comprehension of machinery electrical requirements. • Comprehension and experience with hydraulic systems including maintenance and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), basic understanding of function and operation. • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure accuracy. • Demonstrates ability to work in team, treat colleagues with respect and has a high level of accountability / punctuality. • Proven record of strong attendance. • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
