The Shop Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in planning the production of TEI Machine, addressing scheduling, materials, machining, outside processing and quality during the component duration. Communicate daily with the machine shop planner and production staff to adjust schedules to accommodate changes in machine and material availability. Works directly with the machine shop foreman and machine shop planner to achieve positive results on the shop floor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote safety awareness and comply with all applicable safety procedures and regulations. Maintain current knowledge of safety standards. Follow guided procedures to ensure products flow through the shop accordingly. Assist and analyze problems with designated parts. Understanding of GD&T along with dimensional inspections. Communicate with project managers, engineering, quality and manufacturing on any part related issues. Maintain and promote focus on Trendsetter end product, whether procurement, engineering or manufacturing is related. Coordinate delivery of components with S/R department, ensuring all manufactured parts meet requirements. Micro-manage components with manufacturing and shop tracking throughout entire process. • Create Routing operations to ensure components meet drawing requirements. Issue Purchase Orders to sub-contracting vendors. Coordinate work scope of project throughout the beginning of manufacturing and finalizing with completed product. Ensure components are being carried out to highest quality standards. Control documentation of serial numbers on each component. Manage Shop Production Orders throughout their operations, ensuring each step is completed. Provide companywide feedback on components and expected arrival dates. Hands-on experiences with machining during production process. Coordinate NCR’s from engineering disposition to completion. Ability to review & approval MTR’s per Trendsetter Engineering specifications. Compile TEI Machine Manufacturing Record Books including COC & MTR. Generate production plan to ensure components are completed per engineering/project. Issue purchase orders to all machine shop vendors or as directed by management. Close out job routers, sort documentation and deliver to correct departments. Prepare pallets for shipping for outside services. Use forklift to move materials to the machine shop and finished parts to the warehouse. Participate in continuous improvement projects. Be familiar with Company HSE policies and procedures. Share knowledge & best practice across the company. All other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

Advanced Computer Skills (Microsoft) Minimum 2-5 years in the parts manufacturing/quality field. Administratively organized and accurate. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ability to work independently. Ability to set priorities and take initiative. Ability to improvise when situation requires. Good communication skills with internal and external contacts. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Work with a sense of urgency. Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and change work schedules on short notice. Ability to demonstrate strong decision-making skills, initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan. Work with a sense of urgency. Must be able to operate jib cranes safely. Must be able to operate a forklift. Self-motivated and able to work well with others.
