Position Overview The Authorization Representative will be responsible for processing and tracking authorizations primarily for Orthopedic procedures/surgeries. This role requires strong familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes and direct experience in an outpatient or medical office setting.

Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience with authorizations (must be clearly shown on resume) Experience with CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and orthopedic surgery/procedure authorizations Minimum 1-year recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions

Preferred Qualifications Experience with CS-Link/Epic Familiarity with Workers’ Compensation (Work Comp) claims

Key Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for patient relations (in-person and by phone) Greeting patients, address concerns, and escalate issues as appropriate Perform patient check-in/check-out, collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic Schedule appointments and manage complete patient registration Submit, process, and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types Handle patient and provider correspondence in a professional manner Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients. Maintain and sanitize workspaces in accordance with departmental guidelines.
