Stapleton Group is searching for a motivated and detail-oriented
Property Manager
on behalf of one of our Confidential Clients to assist in managing a portfolio of rent-controlled apartment buildings across San Francisco. Working directly under the supervision of the Senior Property Manager, this role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in property management while gaining valuable experience in San Francisco’s rent-controlled housing environment.

This is a hands-on position involving frequent property visits, tenant communications, vendor coordination, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities Assist with Daily Operations : Support the senior manager in overseeing the operations of multiple residential buildings, including maintenance scheduling and tenant requests. Tenant Communication : Respond to tenant inquiries, complaints, and service requests in a timely and professional manner. Rent Processing : Help track rent payments, post notices for delinquencies, and maintain accurate rent rolls. Maintenance Coordination : Schedule and follow up on work orders, liaise with vendors, and perform basic property inspections. Compliance Support : Assist in maintaining compliance with San Francisco Rent Ordinance, including documentation, rent registration, and legal notices. Leasing Support : Coordinate unit showings, screen applicants, and prepare lease documents in line with city requirements. Reporting : Help prepare reports on rent collection, open maintenance tickets, and occupancy. Site Visits : Conduct periodic property walkthroughs to check for safety and habitability issues and report findings to the senior manager.
Qualifications Experience: 2-5 years in commercial property management Education: BA/BS required Strong interest in learning San Francisco housing regulations, including rent control and just cause eviction laws Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with property management or office software (AppFolio, Yardi, MS Office, or similar) Ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively Bachelor’s degree preferred

The candidate must live in the San Francisco Bay Area, preferably in the city of San Francisco, for this position. No relocation bonus or stipend. This is an in-person role .
