About the Opportunity A well-established organization in the Chicago area is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and ensure compliance across a multi-state workforce. What You’ll Do As the Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of payroll processing and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain accuracy, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state employees (exempt and non-exempt) Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Maintain and audit employee data in payroll systems Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and tax filings Drive process improvements and automation initiatives Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: 5+ years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role Proficiency with ADP EV5 or EV6 is required Strong understanding of multi-state payroll and tax regulations High attention to detail and strong analytical skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities CPP certification preferred but not mandatory
