Are you passionate about teaching and making a real impact? Arc Broward is looking for an enthusiastic Culinary Chef Instructor to train and inspire our students in Entry-Level Culinary Arts.

About the role: Culinary Chef Instructor Educate participants enrolled in the 420 hour Entry-Level Culinary Arts Certificate program Prepare relevant assignments, document student progress, accountability, and issues, and perform a variety of other tasks which promote the overall support of student academic success through expert instruction Utilize lesson plans and activities for each class provided within the established and approved curriculum Teaches the entry-level culinary arts curriculum which focuses on general food preparation skills and techniques including, but not limited to, basic knife skills, setup, operation, and cleanup of a standard commercial food service kitchen, and about various support positions within the food service industry Administers assessments, assigns homework, and monitors lab participation

through Arc Educates What are the requirements? High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred with a preference for credentials within culinary related field. Qualified instructors will meet the minimum state (FLDOE/CIE) educational requirements plus one year of job experience related to the content taught. It is preferred that classroom instructors have some experience demonstrating teaching and classroom management skills. Experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred. Experience working in some form of culinary industry kitchen is preferred Valid FL driver’s license and successful level II background check, physical and drug screen. Must be 21 years older or older.
