Role Description We are hiring a Senior Roadway Design Engineer for our teams in Cleveland, Columbus, or Akron. You will lead infrastructure projects involving roadways, intersections, collector streets, urban arterials, expressways, interstates, and interchanges.
Key Responsibilities
Perform roles in multi-disciplinary projects including technical design, production lead, and assisting project managers and lead engineers.
Engage in client-facing activities, including presentations and expectation management.
Develop project scopes and budgets, interface with clients, mentor junior staff, and ensure project compliance with quality and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of large projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Key Attributes
Experience with infrastructure design, construction engineering, and related software (Civil3D, Microstation, OpenRoads)
Knowledge of ODOT standards
Excellent communication skills, organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
Ohio PE license
Active involvement in professional associations
Experience with traffic signals, roadway drainage, and maintenance of traffic design
