Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location:
Charleston, SC (Hybrid)
Reporting to:
CEO & Board of Directors As CFO, you will partner with the CEO, COO, and Board to define and execute the company’s financial strategy, steward capital, and build the financial foundation to support the next phase of rapid expansion. You will lead all finance, accounting, treasury, and investor-relations functions, ensuring rigorous discipline and providing actionable insights. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership Define long-term financial strategy and capital plan in collaboration with the CEO and Board
Drive annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and rolling-forecast processes aligned to growth objectives
Financial Operations & Controls Oversee end-to-end finance operations: accounting, FP&A, tax, treasury, payroll, and risk management
Strengthen internal controls, SOX readiness, and compliance frameworks
Fundraising & Investor Relations Lead Series B/C/D+ financing rounds: manage due diligence, financial modeling, and investor presentations
Serve as primary finance liaison to the Board, venture partners, and strategic investors
Performance Management & Analytics Develop and monitor KPIs (ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, burn multiple) to guide executive decision-making
Implement advanced analytics and BI tools to surface real-time performance insights
Treasury & Capital Allocation Manage cash flow, debt facilities, bank relationships, and liquidity planning
Oversee equity plans, option pools, and multi-entity consolidations
M&A and Strategic Transactions Evaluate and lead potential acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures
Conduct financial due diligence and integration planning
Team Leadership & Development Build and mentor a high-performing finance organization, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial and operational goals
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including 5+ years as a CFO or equivalent in high-growth SaaS or technology companies
Proven track record leading Series B/C/D financing rounds and managing investor relations
Deep expertise in US GAAP, revenue-recognition (ASC 606), multi-entity consolidation, and SOX/compliance frameworks
Strong FP&A and financial modeling skills; hands-on experience with ERP (e.g., NetSuite) and BI platforms
Demonstrated ability to scale finance functions and processes in rapidly growing organizations
Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to Boards and C-suite stakeholders
