Job Summary: Dignity Healths Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC) is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care in an ambulatory setting. You will play a vital role in delivering health maintenance exams and patient education for all age groups, including well-child exams, adolescent exams, sports physicals, and adult physicals, including pap and pelvic exams. Align your passion for patient care with our philosophy of exceptional healthcare delivery. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient clinical care in an ambulatory setting. Conduct health maintenance exams for patients of all ages. Deliver appropriate patient education and counseling. Take thorough medical histories and assess medical conditions. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information. Assess situations, consider alternatives, and choose appropriate courses of action. Qualifications: Education: Master's degree in Nursing. Certification: Nurse Practitioner certification from an accredited association. Licensure: Licensed by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. DEA License. Basic Life Support (BLS). Must meet credentialing requirements. Experience and Skills: Knowledge of nurse practitioner principles and techniques. Knowledge of methods ensuring a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment. Demonstrated ability in providing care within field boundaries. Skill in applying and modifying professional nursing techniques for ongoing patient care. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to actively listen and understand patient needs. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills. Professional attitude with dependability, maturity, self-confidence, and a commitment to the organization.
