Location: Northern Maine Medical Center Fort Kent is located in the picturesque northern Maine, surrounded by many lakes, hiking, biking trails and is a perfect location for the outdoors enthusiasts. Some of the major economic drivers in catchment area including logging, farming and papermill industries. A small university campus associated with Maine University System. Population of 14,000 in the catchment area served by the hospital Nearest Airport :1 hour from facility Start Date: November 2025 Credentialing: 30-90 days Schedule: 7-10, 24-hour shifts with telenoc back up Details: Critical Access Hospital ICU Beds: 6 Acute Beds: 12 inpatient Observation: 2 Swing Beds: 13 Average Daily Census: 6.4 Max Census: 20 Average Daily Discharges: 3 Avg LOS: 2.5 days, 9 days swing bed Swing Bed: 12 Avg. Weekly Admissions: Average about 24 admissions to Inpatients, Observations and Swing per week Acuity: Cardiorespiratory diseases, infections, CVA, post ops Subspecialty Support: Cardiology, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Anesthesia- CRNP, Urology once a week. EMR: Cerner Community Works Experience + Qualifications Minimum 1 years of experience practicing autonomously Vent Management Central Lines Lumbar Puncture Paracentesis/Thoracentesis Intubations Active ME License or the ability to obtain Compensation & Benefits Independent Contractor (1099) Malpractice Insurance Covered by RPG Providers have a private space with bathroom and shower. Linens and housekeeping provided Providers are provided 3 full meals a day from the dietary department. Base Comp: - Base of $1,800/shift - Travel stipend of $200/shift - Eligible for Prime - 92% wRVU model: - Base - $2,200/shift -Travel - $200/shift -Eligible for Prime wRVU Threshold - 13.5/shift average over the quarter wRVU payment - $29.69 for wRVU's generated above the wRVU Threshold averaged over the quarter
