Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage 3-4 patients per hour with low acuity cases including ankle sprains, stitches, and injuries to major joints.
- Perform complex laceration repairs efficiently.
- Conduct neonatal and pediatric assessments from the first day of life.
- Interpret and adhere to x-ray guidelines to ensure appropriate usage.
- Work in both a fast-track urgent care environment and the regular emergency department.
- Utilize Epic EMR system to document patient interactions and treatment plans.
Additional Information
- Candidates must hold a valid California Physician Assistant license.
- Minimum of 3 years of emergency department experience required, or 2 years in a fast-track urgent care setting combined with ED experience.
- Possession or ability to obtain an LA firecard is necessary.
