Responsibilities
- Remove impacted, damaged, or non-restorable teeth
- Administer general and local anesthetics
- Treat infections of the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaws, and neck
- Address issues with oral mucosa, including ulcers and infections
- Evaluate wisdom teeth for current or future issues
- Advise patients on preventative care and treatment options
- Collaborate with dental professionals in treatment execution
- Participate in continuing education to enhance clinical skills
- Follow all regulations including state dental board rules, HIPAA, and OSHA
Educational Requirements
- DMD or DDS degree
- Current dental license in the state of hire
- Completion of oral surgery residency
- Willingness to travel overnight for training (first year)
- Preferred: 12+ months experience
