Responsibilities
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine has an opening for Emergency Medicine faculty to work in one or more of our emergency departments. This includes the USA Health University Hospital (the Region's only Level 1 Trauma Center), the USA Health Children's and Women's Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department, or our USA Health Freestanding Emergency Department, all within the city of Mobile. Qualified candidates should be certified in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Additional fellowship training or academic experience is a plus. For work at our freestanding ED, candidates with Family Medicine certification and substantial emergency department experience will be considered. Academic rank is open to Assistant Professor and Associate Professor and will commensurate with training, experience, and academic productivity.
