Position Overview
The Northeast Georgia Physicians Group, a subsidiary of Northeast Georgia Health System, is seeking an experienced Neurologist for the role of Stroke Medical Director. This leadership position involves overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the stroke program at our facility in Gainesville, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the Stroke Center Certification status, ensuring adherence to quality and evidence-based care standards.
- Develop and monitor stroke program objectives, including treatment benchmarks, performance outcomes, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize stroke care delivery.
- Provide direct patient care and consultative support to inpatient neurology and neuro-critical care teams.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Minimum of three years' experience in Neurology or Neuro-critical care, with demonstrated leadership skills.
Practice Environment
Our comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma designation at Gainesville, along with Primary Stroke Centers at Braselton and Barrow, support a robust neurology program including outpatient services, neuro-critical care, and a dedicated support staff.
