CNC Machine Operator

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent machining company in Walker, is looking for qualified CNC machine operators to add to their team! CNC Machine Operator description: 1st shift: M-Th 6:00a-3:30p, Fri 6:00a-10:00a $18-20/hr CNC Machine Operator responsibilities: Load and run parts into CNC mills or lathes for production Use band saw to cut raw materials to size Ensure run times, program cycles and material/stock are being maintained for production jobs Perform and document in-process inspections using variable and non-variable measurement equipment Perform material polishing, grinding, engraving, and deburring as needed using shop machinery and hand tools Maintain safety and health requirements at all times Keep productive with additional tasks when jobs have long cycle times or down times (including but not limited to: cleaning/maintaining shop equipment, assisting other operators, running multiple machines, or with shipping/receiving.) Communicate any issues to supervisor (including but not limited to: out of tolerance conditions, machine malfunctions, paperwork discrepancies, general concerns, etc.) Use forklift to move pallets, part bins, material, and to empty chip bins. Additional Skills and Requirements: Must be dependable and able to work independently Must be able to read blueprints and understand print tolerances and dimension symbols Must have experience with, or the ability to learn how to use, variable and non-variable measurement equipment Forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain certification is a plus Must be able to retain newly learned skills to be an effective member of the production team and work efficiently Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
