Job DescriptionProduction Machine Operator1st Shift: 5am-3pm (Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri)2nd Shift: 3pm-1am (Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri)Overview:- Under direction from the Production Supervisor and Technical Lead, Operator A operates machines to manufacture a variety of standard parts and details to close tolerances and finish requirements.Job Responsibilities: Perform close tolerance machining operations such as centering, drilling, reaming, tapping, turning, milling, deburr at back side, file and/or sand Operate multiple machines Operations may vary with approval of supervisor to compensate for variations in material and machining operations Dress, grind or sharpen tools as necessary Lubricate machines as needed with oil, grease and coolant Work from drawings specifications and job layouts using a variety of measuring instruments Make machine and tool adjustments as needed Obtain and return tools as required Learn to make offsets and change tooling Maintain cutting tools in proper working order Checks parts per specification and ensure proper forms are completed including part tags, process sheets and timecards Must be quality conscious and continuously look for quality improvementsJob Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. 5 years machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment Maintain clean and orderly work area, including equipment and perform all assignments in safe manner Exhibit core values of integrity and accountability Demonstrates ability to read, write, speak, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written English Perform basic math calculations Ability to work at established levels of production Ability to lift and carry of up to 50 pounds safely Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, crouch and kneel Vision requirements include (corrective and non) close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth and ability to adjust focus Comply with all company, safety and quality policies and proceduresWorking Conditions: Exposure to moderate noises Temperature variances Exposure to fumes, chemicals and airborne particlesTK1
