Demonstrate working knowledge and formal training on basic types of precision machine shop equipment including CNC Mills, Lathes Girders and Saws for the specific purpose of, but not limited to, manufacturing spare parts for automated production equipment, components for prototype assembly stations, and machine tools. Must be able to read and understand solid works, be proficient in GD&T and be able to work from drawings, sketches, and verbal instruction.

Responsibilities
Evaluate W/O's (work orders) for accuracy, tooling, material availability and processing requirements. Manage personal time and resources to ensure W/O are completed on schedule. Ensure emergency W/O receive top priority. Ensure that tools and materials are available for upcoming W/O's. Complete team assignments to support workload requirements. Support department buyer planner with raw material follow up and routing. Support raw material issuance and saw cutting of raw material for Senior Tool Makers. Ensure all equipment and area are properly cleaned and maintained per PM and 5S guidelines. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities through blitz participation (as required), making suggestions (Kaizens) and otherwise improving processes, quality, and productivity. Collaborate with the Machine Shop Coordinator to assure material/tooling availability. Proficient in general machining operations and applications. Be willing to certify on several machine centers (Royal Master Grinder, Citizen Screw Machines Others as determined by Machine Shop Supervision) and rotate to high demand areas as work needs demand. Manufacture standard and non-standard mechanical components to extremely close tolerances. Develop fixtures required to manufacture parts. Read, interpret, and understand a drawing (standard and metric) including fundamentals of GD&T. Capable of using various precision measurement devices and techniques. Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations. Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles. Other duties as assigned.

Deliverables
Achieve machine shop lead time commitments. Ensure timely completion of all emergency W/O's. Manage individual resources to ensure optimal output with minimum overtime. Ensure that tooling and materials are used effectively to reduce excessive waste and spending.
