Emergency Room Nurse Opportunity

Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Emergency Room (ER) assignments in La Plata, MD! Position details include a contract length of 13 weeks with the ability to extend. There is one opening starting on 8/11 or 8/18. The schedule is 36 hours (3x12's) nights from 7p-7:30a, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

The setting is a hospital. Position requirements include: minimum 1+ years of RN ER/ED experience, open to first-time travelers, MD RN or Compact RN license, and BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI, and PALS.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergent critical care areas. Minimum requirements include a current registered nurse license within the state of practice, minimum of one year emergency room experience preferred, compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice, participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable, current CPR if applicable, TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable, current health certificate (per contract or state regulation), and must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site, understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements, ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required, computer proficiency required, and must be at least 18 years of age.
