Allegheny Health Network is seeking a professional for a full-time position at Allegheny General Hospital. The role involves working in the 8A unit, which focuses on kidney, liver, transplant, and colorectal care. The unit has 39 beds and offers remote monitoring and the ability to perform own IV sticks. The hospital is a leading transplant center with a survival rate of 85%. The hospital also features five state-of-the-art ICUs, a state-of-the-art cancer center, and a total of 550+ beds.

The general overview of the role includes being responsible for a designated patient population, providing care based on the nursing process, and demonstrating clinical assessment skills and care planning. The role requires collaboration with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge and assessing learning needs of patients and families to provide education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
Qualifications include:
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- CPR certification
