Work Locations:

SRT nurses must be willing to float between UNC REX Raleigh and UNC REX Holly Springs campuses. Daily assignments are based on the staffing needs of both facilities.

Role Overview:

This position is ideal for nurses with Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) experience. Initially, SRT teammates will work primarily in Med-Surg areas. After six months, and based on departmental needs, nurses may also be trained to work in:

  • Intermediate Care
  • Critical Care
  • Emergency Department

If you already have experience in one of these additional care areas, we provide training in the others to meet the full scope of the role.

Shift & Schedule Requirements:

  • Full-time night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Minimum of 36 hours/week (three 12-hour shifts per week)
  • Must work at least four 12-hour weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
  • Must work two official and one unofficial holiday each year

Summary:

Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process on the Rex Staffing Response Team.

Other Information:

Education Requirements: Graduation from a school of professional nursing. If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Professional Experience Requirements:

One (1) year of nursing experience.
