Part Time Occupational Therapist

NovaCare Odenton is seeking an occupational therapist to join us in providing quality outpatient orthopedic and neuro patient care. We are passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience and helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love. Additional coverage may extend into our Anne Arundel, PG County, and Howard County outpatient centers if you are interested in additional hours. An ideal OT has previous experience in outpatient orthopedics, neuro and upper extremity. CHT is not required for this opportunity. We have a large clinical team in Odenton offering a variety of OP services such as; neuro, vestibular, concussion, amputee, oncology, lymphedema, pelvic health, pediatrics, industrial (FCEs and POETs) and fall prevention on top of general ortho. We value mentorship and a collaborative approach to care. New graduates are welcome to apply! Schedule Notes: We can be flexible on the days and hours based on your availability and the needs of our patients. Evenings until 7pm are our busiest time and greatest coverage request.

Benefits and Incentives: We can discuss your participation in our CEU accrediting courses as they arise. Additional hours as a per diem (PRN) as needed basis may be available post and could lead into steady hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice.
  • Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
  • Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
  • Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
  • Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
  • State Occupational Therapist license (or license eligible)
  • CPR certification
  • Valid state driver's license
