$60-65/hr W2 Contract, may lead to direct hire
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with specialized experience in RF microelectronics manufacturing and assembly to join our team in Oxnard, CA. In this role, you will develop, refine, and optimize manufacturing processes to support the production of high-performance microelectronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will work closely with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality products on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Development & Optimization: Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to meet stringent product and quality requirements.
  • RF Microelectronics Expertise: Apply specialized knowledge of RF electronic component manufacturing and microelectronic assembly techniques to ensure precision, reliability, and performance.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products; identify bottlenecks and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Equipment & Technology Integration: Evaluate, select, and integrate manufacturing equipment that meets industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Partner with quality teams to develop inspection and testing methods, resolve production issues, and ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and other applicable standards.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components that meet technical specifications.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate process documentation and generate reports on KPIs, production metrics, and improvement initiatives.
  • Safety & Compliance: Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in defense, aerospace, or related high-reliability industries.
  • Proven expertise in RF electronics manufacturing, microelectronic assembly, and testing.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools and manufacturing process simulation.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP, and related quality/compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (or active within the past 2 years)
Work Environment / Other Info:
  • This is a 100% on-site role in Oxnard, CA
  • 1st (day) shift, 9/80 schedule. 8:00am to 6:00pm with every other Friday off.
