nWork hours: PRN "as needed" - Variable days and hours Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm (onsite)
nTraining: Must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington during the first 1-5 days of hire

Here's What You Need

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
n n - n
2 years of clerical or administrative experience required
n n - n
Healthcare/credentialing/medical staff experience preferred; preferably in a hospital
n n - n
CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) or CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) preferred upon hire
n n - n
MD-Staff credentialing software experience preferred
n n - n
Excellent verbal & written skills, knowledge of medical staff procedures preferred, strong computer skills

What You Will Do

- Reviews and verifies information on applications: n
Prepares/sends applications.
nReviews application for accuracy and completion.
nInputs info into MSOW.
nMakes copies of privileges and authorizations.
nSends letter to member about items still needed.
nQueries National Practitioner Data Bank, Texas Medical Board, Drug Enforcement Agency, Department Public Safety, Board Certification (if not already verified) and Medicare Sanctions. Reviews responses to confirm exact match to application.
nReceives case lists and verifies information is correct.
nRetrieves quality information on physician from outcomes management.
nSends letter to physician for any items on his/her application that do not match responses received.
nSends 2nd notices after 30 days for verifications not yet received.
nReviews red flagged items with Department Chair.

Coordinates communication of the following items after Board of Trustees meetings.

Prepares documentation for Credentials Committee review for appropriate reappointment applications.

Assists Credentialing Coordinator with copies and books for Credentials Committee Meeting.

Provides other clerical support for the Medical Staff.
