Summary:
nThe Developer, Business Intelligence will work as part of the Strategic Insights team to turn data into actionable information for caregivers. In this role, you will develop business intelligence capabilities, advanced analytics, dashboards, and reports in support of the organization’s goals and objectives, in line with the overall data strategy. This position provides support in the development, analysis, and interpretation of a variety of data sources to support end user needs and enable actionable decision making to ultimately improve patient outcomes. You should possess a strong background in data and business analytics with the ability to solve problems, provide critical thinking, and communicate complex technical ideas in a clear, actionable way. As a Developer, BI, you will have responsibility for the design, development, and deployment of analytic solutions including requirements gathering, logical and physical data design, data modeling, UI/UX design, ETL functions, SQL development, testing, solution deployment, report, dashboard, advanced analytics, and visualization creation, and administration and maintenance of analytic tools. You will work with a team of developers who are also supporting the end-to-end analytics lifecycle. These analytic solutions will all be in support of the needs of the Guthrie Clinic and its stakeholders.

1-2 years of experience in data analytics, data science, business intelligence, or a related field.

Experience in the design, development, and deployment of data visualization and business intelligence solutions.

Understanding of relational databases, data modeling concepts.

Experience with statistical analysis (Python, R, or other statistical analysis software) preferred.

Proficiency in data visualization techniques and experience developing reports, visualizations, and dashboards using various analytic tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau).

Basic understanding of various data repository and storage designs, including data warehouse, data lake, and data lakehouse.

Basic understanding of data management principles, including data governance, and/or of best practices and emerging trends in data science, e.g. AI, augmented BI, big data analytics, cloud computing, a plus.

Epic certification in Clarity/Caboodle Data Model and related certifications for roles focused on Epic reporting (Certifications will be required within first year as a condition of employment).

Prior experience working with EMR and clinical systems data in a healthcare organization is preferred.

Prior experience working with Epic reporting tools and/or Oracle Cloud Fusion in a healthcare organization is preferred. Experience with Epic business intelligence tools and/or Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher and Oracle Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence reporting tools is preferred.
