nJob Overview:
nAs a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will play a key role in ensuring our production systems’ stability, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with software development and operations teams to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure required to support our services. You will focus on observability, release deployment, automating processes, improving system reliability, and ensuring our services are scalable and highly available.
nKey Responsibilities:
n• System Reliability and Performance:
n• Monitor, measure, and improve the reliability and performance of production systems.
n• Implement and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and detect issues before they impact users.
n• Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
n• Respond to production incidents, troubleshoot issues, and conduct post-incident analysis to prevent future occurrences.
n• Work with development teams to ensure new features and systems are reliable from day one.
n• Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
n• Develop and maintain automation scripts for system deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
n• Implement Infrastructure as Code practices to manage and provision cloud resources.
n• Capacity Planning and Scalability:
n• Analyze system usage patterns and plan for future growth to ensure that systems can scale to meet demand.
n• Optimize resource usage to reduce costs while maintaining high availability.
n• Collaboration and Communication:
n• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to improve software deployment practices.
n• Document system architecture, processes, and policies to ensure clear team communication.
n• Continuous Improvement:
n• Advocate for and implement best practices in software development and systems engineering.
n• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for production systems.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience with config management such as Puppet or Chef.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Experience and strong knowledge of Solr, Kafka and Zookeeper.

Knowledge of database administration and optimization (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
