Phlebotomist PRN

Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Phlebotomist for our Laboratory department. Thisjobis permanent, full-time.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:

• Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
n
• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
n
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
n
• Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens
n
• Maintains adequate stock of supplies.
n
• Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.
n
• Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing.
n
• Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.
n

Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent: □ Preferred X Required Successful completion of Phlebotomy training program: X Preferred □ Required
