We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in both high voltage and low voltage environments, particularly on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, the ability to read schematics, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the Electrical Code (NEC).

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures as well as run conduit in accordance with NEC standards.
    • n
  • Utilize voltmeters and ohmmeters to test electrical systems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
    • n
  • Work on high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications to ensure safe operations across various projects.
    • n
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to complete projects efficiently and safely.
    • n
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
    • n
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
    • n
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • n
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
    • n
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
    • n
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
    • n
  • Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is essential.
    • n
  • Understanding of frame carpentry is a plus for integration with construction tasks.
    • n
  • Ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
    • n
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required for troubleshooting electrical issues.
    • n
  • Must possess relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
    • n
  • Some travel is required
