Summary
nWe are seeking professionals with strong knowledge of Federal HR regulations, policies, and guidance to provide high-level technical support. In this role, you will support a variety of HR functions, including the following.
nResponsibilities:

- Provide technical support duties that require substantial knowledge of Federal HR regulations, policies and guidance. n
- Provide a full range of technical support to operating offices in areas including onboarding. n
- Provide and review forms for completion such as Family Medical Leave Act, reasonable accommodation, insurance, etc n
- Answer customer questions; draft letters to obtain information and provide instructions. n
- Set up and maintain case files and tracking systems. n
- Prepare offer letters, initiate and complete security clearances. n
- Prepare reports from data maintained in staffing databases as well as reports from automated staffing system (Monster Government Solutions). n
- Assist in preparing Freedom of Information Act responses. n
- Prepare responses to requests for EEO investigations. n
- Assist with validating data on RPA (Requests for Personnel Actions); assisting HR Specialists with security paperwork for new employees; assisting with New Employee Orientation training presentations. n
- Serve as the point of contact for employee benefit programs; plan, coordinate and publicize open seasons. n
- Explain programs to employees and provide liaison duties with various health benefit carriers and the GSA Payroll Office. n
- Keep abreast of changes to ensure that employees are able to make informed decisions regarding their benefits. n
- Process a wide variety of personnel actions, such as appointments, separations, promotions, reassignments or mass change actions. n
- Perform qualification reviews on lower grade positions. n
- Review and edit requests for personnel action (RPA's) as they are processed through the HR Division. n
- Check for accuracy of coding, set pay and determine the appropriateness of regulatory authority and proposed action cited in relation to the intended purpose of request. n
- Complete missing data items and code personnel data for input into HRLinks. n
- Provide lead for the processing of all RPA's, from receipt to completion. n
- Serve as a point of contact for advice and basic information on a variety of personnel programs, such as Federal employment, merit promotion and on the use of HRLinks. n
- Provide appropriate information and documents. n
- Respond to telephone calls, walk-in visitors, and help desk inquiries and provide accurate information to questions. n
- Monitor and respond to HR inquiry mail/email within 24 hours. n
- Review a variety of regional Alert messages for HR action. Transmit, retrieve and acknowledge electronic mail. n
- Develop information messages on a variety of Human Resources topics to be sent via mass mailing to all Regional employees. n
- Serve as a point of contact for Regional HR training schedules. n

- 5 years of relevant Federal Human Resources Experience n
