Position Summary
nWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement fabrication and assembly processes to transition new products from R&D to production. This position is primarily geared towards products in low-rate production that consist of high-precision components and/or complex system architectures. This position will also assist in setup and process implementation for transitioning of higher-rate items to the full-scale production team.
nPreference will be given to candidates with experience in some or all of the following areas:

- Design of production tooling/fixtures for quality and assembly consistency n
- Developing assembly work instructions n
- Set up and support of new product lines n
- Use of production travelers for process tracking and traceability n
- General knowledge of various fabrication/manufacturing processes such as: CNC machining, sheet metal cutting/forming, injection molding, rotational molding, tube assembly fabrication n
- DFM n
- GD&T n
Specific responsibilities

- Plan, design and implement manufacturing and assembly processes for new product development n
- n
- Work with design engineers to determine critical-to-function features and determine best methods to ensure quality and reliability while maintaining ease of manufacturing/assembly n
- Review detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for accuracy and tolerances n
- Determine parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications n
- Design tooling and fixturing for production and quality control n
- Develop and optimize process flow and work instructions n
- Support low volume production to verify achievement of process plans and targets for quality, safety, efficiency, and cost. n
- Maximize production efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization n
- Identify equipment/resource constraints and opportunities n
Position Requirements

- BS in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with GPA not less than 3.3 n
- Minimum 3 years' experience n
- US Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulations n
