A well-established fashion brand is seeking an experienced Bra Patternmaker to join their technical team in Los Angeles. This is a full-time freelance role with the strong potential to convert to a temp-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in bra construction, patternmaking, and fit—and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop first through final patterns for bras and intimate apparel
- Ensure fit, construction, and grading align with brand quality standards
- Collaborate closely with design, technical design, and sewing teams
- Participate in fittings and revise patterns based on feedback
- Build and maintain accurate pattern documentation and library
- Contribute to technical packages and construction specifications
- Identify and resolve fit or production-related challenges
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in bra or lingerie patternmaking
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, grading, and fit standards
- Proficient in flat patternmaking; digital pattern software experience a plus (Gerber, Optitex, PAD)
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work onsite full-time in Los Angeles, CA
- Open to freelance with long-term temp-to-hire potential
