Job Title: Line Cook
Location: Motorshucker
Job Type: Full-Time/5 days/week, Thursday - Monday (35-40hrs)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team at Motorshucker. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, possess strong cooking skills, and work well in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Work in unison with Front of House staff to ensure food is run to tables promptly, including at times running food to guests with professionalism.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies for service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and food ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as needed.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment - a love and knowledge of oysters and seafood is not required but appreciated.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required.
