Surgical Tech (CST)

Job Requirements Must have experience in Robotics, Ortho, General, GYN, and Plastics. Certification Requirements: BLS NBSTSA 5 years of experience required.Work Schedule Variable shifts. On-call as needed. Weekend shifts assigned on a rotating basis.EducationEquivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. A high school diploma or equivalent education/experience is required. A diploma from an accredited surgical technology program or documented on-the-job training program is preferred.Job ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist II participates as a member of the perioperative team. This role involves performing direct and indirect perioperative tasks for patients undergoing surgical and endoscopic procedures, as well as assisting anesthesia personnel. The primary focus of this position is the scrub person role.The staff member must be able to participate in the planning and provision of perioperative care for patients in adolescence, early, middle, and late adulthood. The Surgical Technologist II works on a flexible schedule as assigned by the Assistant Director of Surgery.
