Scope of Position: The Assembler is responsible for performing both electrical and mechanical assembly of packaging machinery and related sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions. This includes wiring electrical control panels, installing machine components, performing alignments, and conducting functional testing to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The role requires a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet production schedules.Principal Responsibilities:Electrical AssemblyRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.Assemble and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and machine wiring harnesses.Install sensors, switches, motors, relays, PLC components, and other electrical devices.Perform continuity checks and basic electrical testing to verify correct wiring.Mechanical AssemblyInterpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and exploded diagrams.Assemble machine frames, conveyors, guards, and other mechanical components.Install bearings, gears, shafts, pneumatic components, and other precision parts.Perform alignments, adjustments, and functional testing of assembled machines.GeneralUse a variety of hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve assembly issues.Follow all company safety guidelines, quality procedures, and ISO standards.Assist in troubleshooting and rework as needed.Competencies:Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.Proficiency with electrical hand tools, crimpers, soldering equipment, and mechanical tools.Knowledge of basic electrical theory, wiring practices, and safety procedures (NFPA 70E familiarity a plus).Strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of fasteners, torque specifications, and precision alignment.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:N/ASupervisory Responsibility:There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.Work Environment:This position takes place within a clean, well lit, ventilated, and air-conditioned manufacturing facility. Regularly exposed to hazardous situations and equipment therefore risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
