License: NJ Diagnostic Radiologic Tech License required. Certifications: ARRT (R) Radiography required. Must-Have: Cath Lab checklist. Description: Facility will not approve any holiday time off. Thanksgiving should not be listed as a time off request for fast offers. Confirmation is needed before sending to the facility. An experienced Cath Lab Tech is needed. Candidate must have Cath Lab Tech experience with a minimum of one year. The following skills and experiences are necessary: - Accurate monitoring - Angioplasty - ASD closures - Cardiac stent placement - Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations - Equipment setup - Fluoroscopy - Hemodynamic monitoring - IABP placement/removal - Impella insertion - Interventional cardiac catheter lab procedures - Isolation precautions - Left heart catheterization - Maintaining equipment - PACS - Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) - Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) - EKG lead placement - Preparation of access site - Pulmonary artery (PA) line insertion - Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias - Right heart catheterization - Room circulator duties - Rotablader atherectomy - Scrubbing to maintain sterile field - Stocking supplies - Temporary pacemaker duties - Thrombolysis/thrombectomy - Transcatheter aortic valve implantation/replacement (TAVI/TAVR) - Use of rapid response team - Vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) - Ventricular assist device insertion - Watchman procedures Call is required, approximately one weekend per month and one day per week. Candidates must be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes for emergency call. Prior experience in IABP, Impella, and atherectomy is preferred. All candidates are expected to float, as needed. Travelers must comply with all necessary requirements and regulations.
