In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Construction Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.What You'll DoDevelop and maintain an effective preconstruction program to produce conceptual and preliminary budgets and schedules, establish and maintain a list of prequalified vendors and subcontractors, develop and maintain master bid documents and scopes of work and participate in procurement of major project scopes of work and equipment.PreconstructionDevelop and maintain master project estimate data baseMaintain master project cost data baseDevelop and maintain a master list of prequalified vendors and subcontractorsDevelop and maintain master bid documents and scopes of workDevelop project schedule templatesPlanning and SchedulingParticipate in developing initial project estimates (including conceptual estimates) and schedules in consultation with the responsible Partner or DirectorDevelop a preliminary project schedule.ProcurementParticipate in developing and/or review project bid listParticipate in developing and/or review subcontractor scopes of workParticipate in and/or review project managers analysis of contract documents and proposed subcontractor selectionsParticipate in and/or review project managers major material purchase recommendations.Project ManagementUpdate project estimate based on review of 30/60/90 percent drawingsReview and establish with the project manager critical dates prior to proceeding with detailed schedulingAdvise project manager of procurement activitiesParticipate in post project review with key project personnelQuality ControlMonitor quality control program activitiesMonitor actual verses budgeted cost for major procurement itemsMonitor actual verses projected project durationsAdditionalConduct annual performance evaluation of direct reportsProvide periodic reports on workload and department accomplishmentsParticipate in the development and maintenance of an updated company operations manual What You'll Bring10 years of General Contractor related construction and preconstruction experience, at least 5 years of which were directly involved with construction projects.Experience with manufacturing or industrial sector construction (food, beverage, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or related industries preferred)Experience negotiating contracts and putting bids together for final presentationAn understanding of prime contracts requirements including schedules, scopes, budgets, and performance expectationsConstruction estimating and procurement experienceProficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Timberline, AutoCAD, or Revit software systemsExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task on simultaneous projectsA willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventionsA bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or a related technical degree (preferred)OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification (preferred)Our culture and commitment to our people is what sets us apart.
