As a Full Time Paramedic, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Huntsville, AL. This is not your typical EMS space. We have a great team and have a lot of fun! Dayshift: 6:00am-6:00pm, rotating days and every other weekend.
What You'll Do:
- Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance
- Administers initial treatment at emergency scene and takes and records patient's vital signs
- Initiates intravenous fluids to administer medication or drug cardiac monitoring
- Administers injections of medications and drugs
- Communicates with physician and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephone
- Keeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, material, and equipment
- Prepares required reports and maintains records of activities
- Cleans assigned emergency vehicle
- Conducts safety inspections, requisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipment
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited Paramedic training program, Current Paramedic Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed Current ACLS certification NY Paramedics based on city and county: Regional Emergency Medical Service Council (REMSCO), Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (REMAC), Regional Emergency Medical Organization (REMO) Certifications (NYRA Aqueduct & Belmont must have NYC REMAC and Nassau County REMSCO have 30 days to obtain REMSCO At least three years' experience as an EMT-P with an ambulance/EMS service
