Assembly Technician Chesterfield, MO
Pay: $20/hour Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Location: Chesterfield, MO Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician for our client in Chesterfield, MO. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team supporting product development and production efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical assembly, testing, and the use of hand and power tools in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components using various tools and hardware
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to meet production goals
- Conduct functional and general testing of components and assemblies
- Perform incoming inspections on parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies
- Provide timely updates to the engineering team regarding project progress
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, including testing and tooling
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory tracking a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
