First Shift - 5:45 AM-2:15 PM Job Summary: The
Packaging Assembler
is responsible for performing manual and automated packaging and labeling of kits, tubes, and related components in compliance with cGMP guidelines and production schedules. This role includes manual and automatic filling, capping, bagging, and assembly tasks, as well as maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform manual and semi-automated labeling of tubes, kits, and components. Assemble kits, bagging, racking, filling, and capping lysing tubes and ancillaries. Rotate between packaging and filling operations as required. Complete ERP system transactions when processing orders. Set up, maintain, operate, and clean packaging conveyors, inkjet coders, scanners, box erectors, paper folders, taping, and labeling machines. Keep work areas neat and compliant with 6S standards, disposing of waste properly. Verify quantities and stage materials per pick lists. Maintain accurate device history records, logbooks, and training records. Participate in My CI, Quality Spots, and Safety Hazard Spotting initiatives. Assist the Packaging Assembler 2 in maintaining production flow. Train new and temporary employees in packaging processes. Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 0-1 year of manufacturing or assembly experience. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Prior experience with ERP systems. Education in physical sciences or laboratory techniques. Required Skills:
Ability to use manual and electric pallet jacks. Knowledge of cGMP compliance and ISO 13485 standards. Ability to follow written procedures and assembly drawings. Preferred Skills:
Basic hand tool use (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches). Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in work. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. Additional Skills:
Ability to work overtime when needed. Capability to lift up to 40 lbs and walk for extended periods. Compliance with safety shoe requirements. Benefits:
