JOB PURPOSE
This position involves receiving and inspecting components for repair and overhaul, generating pre-established technical documentation and shop travelers, and performing approvals for return to service after maintenance or modifications of an engine or article in accordance with regulations. Duties include completing FAA Forms 8130-3 and 337 as required, preparing logbook entries, and ensuring each engine or component returned to service meets type design or properly altered condition and is safe for flight. The QA Inspector verifies that all inspections are performed in compliance with the manufacturer's Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and the Keystone Turbine Services Repair Station Manual.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:
Receiving incoming components for repair / overhaul Perform work order opening and closing tasks, preliminary inspections, hidden-damage inspections, statement of work review, and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current maintenance data. Enters the return to service / airworthiness release authorization into the aircraft / article's permanent records (logbook) along with a list of the work performed. Review completed production control work packages for completeness and proper signoff, prior to execution of an airworthiness release or issuance of a serviceable tag Generating documentation, technical data and shop travelers using customer repair orders as guidance. Perform visual and dimensional inspections using manual inspection tools to determine serviceability Maintain FAA Documentation / Record Keeping Verify Customer Repair Work Scope Review Logbooks/Time Life Parts/Service Bulletins/Airworthy Directives Perform Final Inspections / Generate FAA / EASA/ UK Documentation Assist in Maintaining FAA/AS9110C Quality System Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities for quality program WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Must have close vision, color vision, and depth perception necessary to perform detailed inspections Equipment Operated:
Ability to operate office machines.
Work Location:
Keystone Turbine Services - Coatesville, PA. Work is performed indoors in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
Potential Hazards:
Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a minimum of 5 years' Aviation experience. Must be a Highly Motivated individual Must possess Excellent Organizational and Communication Skills Must have Data Entry Skills / computer literate Must be able to read, write and understand English Must pass FAA/DOT Pre-Employment drug test and background screen, also will be subjected to random drug and alcohol testing.
Education/Training:
Minimum of a H. S. Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' Quality experience.
Certificates/Licenses: FAA
Airframe & Powerplant Certificate preferred; candidates without A&P must be willing to obtain it.
