Our corporate office in Livonia, Michigan is currently seeking a Training and Development Specialist to join our team! This role will be vital in advancing employee learning and development in the organization. This individual will apply training and adult learning methodologies to develop courses that meet business needs, create curriculums that support role-based learning, measure training impact, and maintain training programs. In addition, they will develop change management collateral for training initiatives and support the learning management system.

Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning gaps and needs and then propose solutions to meet those needs. Develop engaging, succinct, and effective learning for diverse roles and audiences Design curriculums that advance employee knowledge in their role Customize and brand courses for the learning management system course catalogue Maintain and provide support for the Alchemy learning management system Support the organization by creating, tracking, and reporting on compliance training Obtain baseline data, track training effectiveness, and report training results Become fluent using learning and development software and AI to design training solutions Contribute to onboarding, leadership, intern, and other corporate programs Apply learning and development frameworks and design thinking to training initiatives Other duties as assigned Education/Background Requirements
University or College training in relevant field 1 year of previous experience in Training, Journalism, HR or related field Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills Keen attention to detail Intense curiosity that motivates asking questions and continuous learning Ability to prioritize projects to deliver high-quality work by the deadline Ability to see possibilities, offer solutions, apply critical thinking, and employ creativity Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and demonstrate self-motivation Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Intermediate/Advanced in Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Working Conditions
