The Commercial Lines Underwriter will join their growing teams in Alpharetta, GA and Scottsdale, AZ. This role is key in managing the risk and profitability of commercial lines business submitted by binding authority wholesale producers. You will monitor underwriting results, evaluate submissions, and take action to maintain a balanced and profitable book of business.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with wholesale binding authority producers to ensure consistent flow of high-quality commercial insurance submissions
Educate producers on underwriting guidelines to improve submission accuracy and compliance with binding authority parameters
Evaluate pricing, coverage terms, and risk for referred commercial lines business to uphold underwriting standards
Review and monitor bind policy premium audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
Take decisive action to support a profitable and well-balanced commercial lines portfolio
Qualifications & Experience
4 to 10+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience, with strong knowledge of property & casualty insurance coverages
Proven ability to analyze underwriting data and make informed risk decisions
Experience working with wholesale brokerages and managing binding authority relationships
Familiarity with the bind producer distribution system and its impact on underwriting workflows
Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary Range: $85,000 to $200,000
