The Professional Practice Administrative Director shapes the future of patient care within the organization through innovative and expert nursing leadership. The innovative leader demonstrates competence in communication, building relationships; tracks, trends, and analyzes current and future healthcare environments; and anticipates and manages change. The nurse leader demonstrates systems thinking and professionalism in conducting business. Understanding of healthcare financing, information management, and strategic planning are critical to creating an environment for success. As a member of the leadership team, the Professional Practice Administrative Director collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, multidisciplinary administrators, community members, and associates to develop a strategic plan congruent with the organizational mission and leverage performance to establish future opportunities and goals.
