GIS Analyst

This position is responsible for utilizing the Geographical Information System to support midstream oil and gas projects within the asset management group, as part of Operation Services. Responsibilities include completing engineering designs and cost estimates using GIS for various types of main and service work, collecting construction activity 'as-built' data using a mobile CPS collection device in the field to create permanent asset records, editing map features and correlating attribute data in the GIS, performing final quality checks of GIS versioned data before it is posted to the GIS, representing Engineering at internal and external project meetings and visiting jobsites to determine requirements for service and main work, conducting preliminary reviews of development plans and interfacing with customers, implementing and training Engineering staff on new work processes for the GIS mapping system, distributing and updating maps for other departments as requested, distributing and approving requests for the acquisition and release of easements and the vacation of rights-of-way, and performing pipeline safety compliance-related GIS analysis as directed. All other duties as assigned. Essential Skills include proficiency in GIS, particularly Arc GIS, Esri, and geography, experience in pipeline design support and oil and gas projects, strong ethics and integrity, dedication to a safe work environment, commitment to a diverse workforce, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, adaptability in a fast-paced and changing culture, strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse individuals, ability to work independently and manage time effectively, and ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications include the ability to lead by example in support of the company's core values and proven ability to establish rapport with diverse people. Work Environment is based in a corporate engineering office environment with the flexibility to work from home 2-3 times a week. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
