Job Title

Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to effectively convey the agency's mission to the public. Responsibilities could include: Create and coordinate customer director and senior leadership outreach packages to include itinerary development, read-ahead material preparation, and post-visit review and update. Provide expert support in coordinating events and executive visits with senior government, industry, and academic officials. Contribute to professional and executive review public relations materials documents, and packages. Support government leadership in partner analysis for potential visit sites that would be beneficial to research mission. Maintain senior leadership outreach visit management and tracking spreadsheet; record of date, location, and attendees of each visited location or speaking engagement. Update bimonthly customer core news reporters list. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Position required experience and responsibilities: Federal external PR experience/background Experience with external outreach and media relations Experience with writing and releasing publications Experience with designing and supporting graphics and other visual media Expert in social media content management and release Demonstrated experience with supporting senior-level outreach engagement strategies and packages Experience with producing a podcast Strong research capabilities Strong organizational skills Understanding of the research publication process Experience summarizing technical publications from multiple technical disciplines Metrics reports with website links and impressions for Twitter/X, LinkedIn, media coverage, podcast episodes, and other social media New slick sheets for new programs Presentation graphics for the customer Presentation posters Assistants with logos Graphic diagrams Pre- and post-production and final videos and/or animations of sponsored events Ad-hoc graphics, videos, or animations relating to customer programs or events Modifications to existing website based on user requirements and customer requests High-level (100-level) slide deck overview presentation for external events Assisting with talking points or speech specific for external speaking events Podcast implementation plan, including a communications plan, for both unclassified and classified content. Providing quarterly updates evaluating the effectiveness and impact of the plan Planning, recording, and editing podcast episodes, and assisting with transcript reports (unclassified and classified) Education Required: Bachelor's degree in communications/journalism, public relations, or related field. Years of Relevant Experience: 6 years of relevant experience in communication, journalism, or related field including at least 4 years experience providing support to the IC or DOD.
