Patient Driver - Full-Time

Turning Point Care Center has an opening for a full-time patient driver. Turning Point drivers transport patients to and from various locations both local and long distance using company vehicles. The ideal candidate will be motivated, work well with direct supervision, have the ability to make decisions quickly, and be able to work well in a team environment. (Even pet insurance!!) Qualified applicants meet the following requirements: Must be able to work both day and night time hours as needed. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Ten (10) years driving experience operating passenger car, van or bus. One (1) year experience in a patient field, preferred. Experience working with substance abuse or behavioral health patients, preferred. Must be able to perform physical activities such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and handling of materials. Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision. Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function; reliable transportation is required. Company vehicles are used for patient transport. Ability to communicate therapeutically and age appropriately. Current Georgia Driver's License with: no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, not having multiple violations for driving without insurance, no more than 2 at fault accidents on record in the past 3 years, no convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 7 years, no convictions for serious infractions such as reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or fleeing a police officer, no convictions for vehicular homicide manslaughter.
