Surgical Technician at our Outpatient Surgery Center at Providence St Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is full-time and will work 8-hour Day shifts. Under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse, is responsible for surgical case preparation including allocation of appropriate surgical supplies and instrumentation and intraoperative organization of the sterile field. Facilitates the surgeons needs by passing the appropriate sutures and instrumentation. Assists with the terminal cleaning of the surgical suite/instrumentation after the procedure has ended. In addition, this position encompasses advanced skills through advanced training and knowledge to actively participate in optimal patient care and improved perioperative performance. Graduate from Surgical Tech Program with 2 years experience as an Surgical Tech Complete competencies for all General Service Line and 50% of Advance Service Lines Environmental Orientation within 30 days of hire Unit Specific competency within 90 days of hire National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech Our best-in-class benefits are uniquely designed to support you and your family in staying well, growing professionally, and achieving financial security.
