Based in Houston, Texas, the Retail Trainer
Central fosters a culture of continuous learning and delivers high-impact training programs across classroom, in-store, and on-the-floor environments. This pivotal role empowers retail teams to enhance client experiences, deepen product expertise, and refine client development skills. As a field-focused position, you will spend most of your time in storesactively training, observing, providing feedback, and collaborating with store leadership to elevate team performance and uphold service excellence. Key Accountabilities
Work closely with Store and Team Managers to integrate training into daily retail operations, including store briefings, on-floor coaching, and dedicated training sessions. Identify opportunities for improvement and provide training solutions that enhance sales performance and behaviors to ensure a consistent client experience. Partner with Store Directors and Retail Leaders to assess staff competencies and deliver targeted training to enhance skills and performance. Support the onboarding of new hires and provide ongoing training to existing staff to maintain high standards of performance. Track training effectiveness using internal tools, mystery shopping programs, and sales impact analysis. Client Experience & Development
Lead training programs and in-store coaching to elevate customer interactions, ensuring personalized service and brand loyalty. Spend most of the time in stores, actively training and coaching Client Advisors and Team Managers on the selling floor. Provide real-time feedback and hands-on support to refine selling techniques, storytelling, and client interactions. Train teams on delivering a personalized, elevated client experience that fosters long-term relationships. Reinforce key selling behaviors, including active listening, emotional engagement, and product storytelling. Product Expertise & Knowledge
Develop in-depth product knowledge programs, ensuring retail teams are well-versed in product storytelling, craftsmanship, foundational collections, and seasonal offerings. Deliver engaging product training sessions to strengthen confidence and expertise among Client Advisors. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work cross-functionally with store leadership, regional retail teams, and global training partners to identify training needs and develop impactful learning solutions. Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in the retail industry, ideally including retail management. Previous experience in training departments or roles focused on training and developing others. Strong influencing and communication skills. Project management experience. Comfortable working in a store environment with flexible attendance shifts. Strong retail business acumen. Knowledge of adult learning methodologies. Proven experience in presentations and people development. Experience with digital learning platforms and tools. Strong analytical mindset and cultural sensitivity. Adaptable with a proactive, positive attitude. Ability to collaborate cross-functional with multiple internal stakeholders. Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus. Work Authorization
