The Recovery Specialist is responsible to collect charged off consumer loans, credit cards, and negative share accounts to minimize Ent's exposure to risk, loss and ensure maximum return to its members by following collection policies and procedures as well as adhering to State and Federal Laws. When collecting on charged off accounts this role will be assisting with making timely collection calls per performance standards in a professional and non-aggressive (fair, yet firm) manner to minimize loss to our membership while encouraging Ent to be made whole while exploring pre-determined ways to help our members through acceptable payment arrangements. Essential Functions While staying in ready working the charged off collection queues the role will utilize various resources to collect on charged off all account types such as negotiating payment arrangements, settlements, and payment options (i.e. automatic transfers / bill pay / payment by phone etc.). Make outbound phone calls Receive and respond to inbound phone calls and Teams Chats Receive and respond to emails and tasks Responding and handling collection agency disputes/legal requests Notifying the collection agency of any new bankruptcies. Review and prep accounts for internal legal action Documenting and processing any charge off checks Receive, prepare, and respond to consumer credit counseling requests Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Qualifications
Minimum formal qualifications for this position High school diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent 1+ years' customer service experience preferably within financial services. Required 1+ years' consultative financial services and / or collections experience. preferred Technical or specialized knowledge/skills: Professional, diplomatic, and courteous communication skills are of critical importance. Strong attention to detail and accuracy of all transactions is of critical importance. Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Ability to learn and retain relevant collections law and policy in a short amount of time. Predisposition for creativity and problem solving as applied to individual situations within relevant laws and guidelines. Exposure to and web based transactional systems to complete day to day member requests. (preferred) Able to use 10-Key by touch. The pay range for this position is: $44,179.20 to $48,838.40 per year (S11). Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity. This position is eligible for our corporate bonus program based on company performance.
