This job is responsible for leading multiple major operations segments for a site, region, or product line within the bank's internal operations. Key responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems, ensuring compliance with policies, and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve process performance and operating efficiency. Job expectations include coordinating activities and processes across operations segments. The Center of Excellence for economic sanctions monitoring is part of Global Payment Operations (GPO). GPO is the central hub for Bank of America in playing a monumental and mission critical role in establishing, servicing, supporting, and monitoring two of the most widely used electronic payment processing vehicles - Wire and ACH - in the financial services arena worldwide. GPO is also accountable for the SSCoE (Sanctions Screening Center of Excellence) that reviews all of Bank of America's customers and transactions to ensure compliance with Bank of America's Economic Sanctions Program. SSCoE serves BAML's eight lines of business, delivering global, regional, and local capabilities through secure, fast, and reliable technology, and people with the knowledge and experience to deliver timely and accurate review of all sanctions alerts across all products of Bank of America. Team also has the responsibility to provide support to client facing teams and clients where needed to educate on compliance program, drive better quality of data defining the customer and their day-to-day banking transactions. Responsibilities: Oversees the forecasting and staffing levels and capacities, provides effective coaching, and shares constructive feedback to drive Operational Excellence. Leads and ensures teams adhere to bank and regulatory policy and procedures when making decisions that impact various operations and product lines. Provides strategic guidance to develop and analyze procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activities while overseeing budget and expense management, reporting, and forecasting for designated areas. Evaluates efficiencies and identifies areas of improvement and growth to the overall process, identifying data, metrics, and key performance indicators to measure process effectiveness. Aligns bank priorities and strategies to employee metrics and goals and provides interventions as needed to recognize, encourage, and improve team performance to support an inclusive work environment. Managerial Responsibilities: This position may also have responsibilities for managing associates. Required Qualifications: 5+ years' of people management experience overseeing leadership development and execution to drive Operational Excellence. 5+ years' experience with economic sanctions, relationship, or transactions processing. Demonstrated ability to present executive reporting and key business metrics. Project management experience. Ability to collaborate productively and proactively across senior leadership. Demonstrates a bias for action and a commitment to achieving sustainable results. Holds self and others accountable for high performance standards. Removes obstacles and proactively challenges processes to ensure work gets done easily and decisions made quickly. Makes timely and fact-based decisions.
